Wildfire in the Sonoran Desert
My dissertation research uses non-market valuation techniques to explore individual choice around risk as it relates to changing wildland fire regimes in the Sonoran Desert of the Southwest U.S.
Outdoor recreation economics
Outdoor recreation is a focus of my Extension work. This includes understanding outdoor recreation demand, effects of climate on outdoor recreation, and the regional economic effects of outdoor recreation.
Water economics
My research and Extension work are heavily focused around issues directly or indirectly involving the allocation of water resources in the Southwest U.S., including the use of water in irrigated agriculture.
